Barney von Duke is an adorable eight month old bundle of bouncy affection.  He adores people and also likes his new feline pals.  Barney is full of youthful enthusiasm for everything from butterflies to the television screen.  He is currently in a foster home with two other German Shepherds and is learning from them how to be part of a pack.  So far, they indicate that he is passing with flying colors.  Barney appears to be German Shepherd with a dash of Hound maybe to explain those wonderful ears!.  Currently, he weighs in the area of 45 pounds but he has more growing to do.  He has a wonderfully soft coat and brown eyes that melt your heart.  He loves to play with toys; and plays fetch by bringing the ball back and lying down with it at your feet.  Once tired out from a hard day of playing, he wants to cuddle and snooze as close to his people as possible.  Barney was rescued by wonderful people that drove him to us during heavy rains. He should attend doggy school and learn his ABCs but he will be at the head of the class.  Barney is smart, adorable, and affectionate.  He will make a fantastic addition to a most lucky family.
